Jordan Galland is a filmmaker, writer and musician who has been living in New York City since he was five years old. At the age of thirteen, he wrote his first play F.A.M.I.L.Y, which was a finalist at the Young Playwrights Competition. At eighteen, Galland formed the Rock Band Dopo Yume, and toured the world opening for Cibo Matto and Rufus Wainwright. At twenty, he began work on an adaptation of Ryu Murakamis book, Coinlocker Babies, with director Michele Civetta and long time friends, Sean Lennon and Peter Klien. He then graduated from NYU where he studied Film, Animation and Mythology. in fall 2005 Galland’s short film "Smile for the Camera" a comedy about a cult who uses antiques cameras to capture the souls of their victims that he wrote with Lennon won an award for best short at the New York International Independent Film and Video festival. Musical Collaborations include songs with Domino Kirke, Daniel Merriweather, Producer Mark Ronson, Allido Records.
